GSR, a prominent crypto market maker, is facing allegations of bribing centralized exchange teams to gain access to sensitive market trading data.

According to the allegations, GSR used these bribes to obtain detailed trading information from various exchanges, giving them a competitive edge.

With this privileged information, GSR is suspected of engaging in insider trading, a practice where trades are executed based on non-public information before other market participants can act.
