@Michaelfiore Europeans don't realize that trains aren't practical for most American cities. It's easy for a few very large cities, but the rest? Most cities are sprawling. They would be slow because of a million stops, or nobody would use them because of the long hike to their destination.
"Pratt’s loudest fans fundamentally loathe modern-day L.A., and that should chill all other Angelenos," writes The Times' columnist Gustavo Arellano.

@DisneyDan@OffhandDisney Wages in Florida have been traditionally lower than a lot of places forever. There is an attitude that you are being "paid in sunshine," i.e. that you should be willing to take lower pay so you can live in a place without snow.
@OffhandDisney And *of course* it's opening on a day my annual pass is blocked. My old bones aren't up to the ride, but I was hoping to at least take part in the excitement and grab some merch.
@ChrisHantis@Michael_Eisner But not at the Magic Kingdom. This would actually work well at the Studios, but I don't know if they still have the rights to the character.
@ImPacingMyself@Michael_Eisner It also needs to move faster to make use of popular products. Encanto was very well received, and here we are a year out with nothing more than Mirabel recently being added to a parade float.
So I watched the D23 Parks panel livestream yesterday... sorta. I kept mentally drifting off because there was so little that effected the US parks. At least we're getting the Hatbox Ghost. That's something. *sigh*
@OffhandDisney So... I watched for ages to find out we're getting the Hatbox Ghost. And not much else. No people are getting moved. I suppose if I wanted to be chipper I could say that after so many times of over promising they are trying to be more careful, but that would require optimism.
@chipandcompany Honestly, I wasn't interested from the moment I heard that Tim Allen wouldn't be voicing Buzz. That just screamed that it wouldn't be the character that we know and love.
@OffhandDisney Alas, no joy for me. But on the bright side, I rode Living with the Land for the first time in ages. I didn't see you anywhere. I'm disappointed.
