Writing is a fundamental part of hip-hop, NOT some exclusive superpower you can use to intimidate every woman who comes after you.

@NICKIMINAJ, bringing up writing isn’t an automatic gotcha when we’ve spent years hearing questions about who was putting those rhymes together early in your career. That alleged pen supremacy didn’t save Big Foot from becoming a lyrical disaster so underwhelming that your opponent didn’t even consider it worth a response.

The funniest part is watching you talk like the supreme authority on hip-hop when pop crossover played a HUGE role in expanding your mainstream reach. You benefited from pop just like other female rappers, yet now you want to act like writing is the ultimate measure of rap supremacy when your own catalog has shown that a pen alone doesn’t guarantee a great record.

Writing is a skill, not a crown. Hip-hop existed before you, female lyricists existed before you, and nobody owes you a standing ovation for doing what rappers have always done. Stop waving a pen around like it’s a Grammy, a platinum plaque, and a personality all in one.
