I have been playing a bit with procedural generation, and I can say that I am very satsified with how these maps turned out!

By restructuring the data and implementing threading, I was able to speed up the simulation (and thus the loading time as well) significantly.

Its safe to say that I wont have to think about performance and optimization for a long time.
