@ashleyeleanor@iniemohk Could I ask if that's not a bit counterproductive? When you're made aware of the abundant unjust suffering in the world, doesn't it become increasingly harder to believe in a merciful God?
@wickemu@catehall@RuxandraTeslo@ArtirKel I think it doesn't and the reason for the weight of alcohol on the red part of that chart is precisely the culture surrounding its use - little to no concerns are raised about abuse of alcohol until it leads to **serious** dysfunction. Tweets like the quoted exemplify this
Apple Maps consistently overestimates the time it takes me to walk somewhere by about 20%. There should be a setting that takes into account if you have that dawg in you
@FantasyWanderer@Thechungo4814@BlGTRES@gtinari@dogwaiter I'd argue that if you are going to hate and completely mistrust someone who *consistently* has your best interest at heart with the exception of one mistake (a very drunken one), then you have deep insecurity and trust issues that you need to work on for the sake of your own kids

@RinseHold@OBEhizele and I believe that such behaviour not exhibited by white people is just a reflection of the fact that white people didn't have to historically deal with the same kind of bullshit. If you pull a cat's tail, you're probably gonna get scratched and I can't blame the cat for that
@RinseHold@OBEhizele lived realities of other marginalised people, or more importantly, how unfair it is to be required to commit to a lifelong battle against a rigged system, while someone born in better circumstances with a different skintone can be handed a life of (relative) bliss by fate.
@RinseHold@OBEhizele there are plenty of people who'll shoot themselves in the foot because of "pick-me" tendencies - desire for validation from opressors i.e. to be labeled one of the "good ones". Many of these arguments boil down to "pull yourself up by the bootstraps" fantasies that ignore the...
