@jeanneyacoubou It's either the rich and powerful step up to change civilization's relationship to the living world, or we stop honoring civilization's rules, and money.
Give them a 12 month deadline.
@piper4missouri They want books with ideas that make their heads hurt (conscience? shame? mild triggering? homeschooling?) removed from view. Books that rely in part on words rather than graphics. Which makes this particularly sad.
The current SCOTUS was produced to subvert American values by the right wings of this country - religious, corporate and neoconservative. The Federalist Society & the Chamber of Commerce colluded with Big Televangelism. Sanity's off the table, less'n we fight.
@WhtEva234 @Jason_Garcia Prosecutorial discretion is one of the most abused powers within the justice system. But how to constrain it in cases of "quiet quitting", i.e. failure to prosecute the powerful, dangerous, or inexpedient?
@tveitdal He should agree to transfer all his assets to the state other than the ones he's directly manifesting greenwashed hydrogen from. That includes mining rights, which should be immediately frozen. Put up or shut up.
@lindyli Worse, they think saying all this stuff will resonate with their audience, and not turn off people on the fence who are still watching them. Because they understand how propaganda works. Propaganda is grooming. They're grooming the next generation of mass murderers.
2. Two years later, that farmer tried to call Ms. Varneyβs line. Heβd been cut off by his packer and needed help.
He was kindly informed that Ms. Varney was no longer at DOJ. She was now a partner at Cravath β helping corporations close mergers & defend antitrust cases.
@lingdustin Trying to follow you on Mastadon but for some reason I'm not finding you in search. And yes, I've searched what you have here as well as your actual name, and what @scholar.social offers me. Weird. Must be something about the instance I'm on.
@mattzollerseitz It's a great interview. I've been seeing some of her older interviews pop up, and she's a consistently good interviewee. It's a credit to anyone who sees that, and lets a good interviewee just run the show. Good job.
@HeerJeet I'm not a 16 year old or from China, so I guess I'm still allowed to prefer to see an Anthony Mackie movie over a Falcon movie. Especially if I can get physical media of it. Now, it still has to stay in the theaters long enough so I can see it on a day off at a matinee...
@socialiststeve6 Just about everything. But let's just say the song "I can't go for that" meets "You say you want a revolution" and had a baby, and that's the music industry, for one.
