MY TEAM AND I EMBARKED ON A 4 DAY VISIT TO KNUST OBUASI CAMPUS

As a presidential candidate in this year’s KNUST SRC election, my team and I embarked on a four-day visit to our brothers and sisters at KNUST Obuasi Campus.

The love, support, and enthusiasm from students were truly inspiring. The energy kept growing, and the mission remained the same: engaging students, listening to their concerns, and building a better KNUST for all.

Good evening, students of KNUST.

The welfare and safety of every student remain my utmost priority as an aspirant and student leader.
Yesterday’s heavy rainfall caused significant flooding along the busy Mecca and Agric Roads, with many students having to risk their safety to attend lectures. This situation highlights the need for proactive measures to protect students during adverse weather conditions.

I would like to humbly appeal to University Management to consider temporarily shifting lectures online whenever severe flooding or other emergency situations make movement on campus unsafe. This will safeguard students while ensuring that academic activities continue uninterrupted.

As students, our safety should never be compromised in the pursuit of education.

Yesterday, I had the privilege of interacting with distinguished dignitaries and students at the just ended KNUST-TEIN Grand Convocation, listening to their concerns, sharing ideas, and reaffirming my commitment to student centered leadership.

Every engagement strengthens my resolve to serve with dedication, integrity, and a genuine passion for the welfare of students.

As part of our commitment to ensuring that students of KNUST enjoyed every moment of the UCL final, my team and I organized a free popcorn stand at Republic Hall, and the turnout was amazing.

We also visited the ladies’ rooms to share well packaged popcorn with them, spreading the excitement and making the experience even more memorable. 🍿❤️
