A reminder that the UK has gone from promising the NHS an extra £350million a week if there was a vote for Brexit to proposing selling off the NHS to "save it"
They lied to you and they are still lying to you.
I have found myself agreeing with Nadine Dorries: if Liz Truss wants to take the country in a totally different direction to the one laid out in the 2019 Tory manifesto, then she needs to call a general election first.
The media aren’t asking, so I will:
@KwasiKwarteng and @trussliz, did you invite your hedge funder friends to dinner, as reported in The Times, and give advance warning about the budget so they could short the pound?
Asking for a country that deserves better than this shit.
@CarverEmily PS: Emily, I wrote to the BBC and Ofcom about the platforming of you and your ilk, opaquely funded, cuckoos in the nest. I said for all we know, you receive Russian money. They chickened out, but I’ll keep holding the BBC to their broken promise. Ram it.

@CarverEmily I used to own a number of them, as did my parents, grandparents, great-grandparents. They were our investment, our inheritance, ours to bequeath, and were run for us as well as by us, not for sick offshore wealth hoarding brigands. They were stolen from us, and I want them back.
This is big! Labour members just overwhelmingly backed PR 👏👏
Great news - a real sea change! Yet @Keir_Starmer has his fingers in his ears. People are crying out for fresh, progressive politics where votes count & voices are heard. And it’s coming, whether leaders agree or not
The peerless @BBCFarmingToday reported on social care workers (current vacancies in the sector: 105,000) quitting in rural areas because fuel costs have pushed them well below the minimum wage. Think of them every time a Tory tells you our system has been too ‘redistributive’.
When Liz Truss says she is ‘willing to be unpopular’ she means unpopular with hard working people struggling with the cost of living.
She is not willing to be unpopular with the bankers and billionaires who will profit even more off the back of her policies.
My aunt is 89, and hospitalised. Her energy company knows this, but has sent her a final demand and said they plan court action. They know she is vulnerable. They say they "lock" an account only for 30 days, and then issue another bill or final notice. Appalled with EDF!
If I have missed you off the list above and you want to post a reference, tweet or tip below, please do so. It will take a massive team effort to raise awareness of the full implications of "FREEPORTS", as they morph into DYSTOPIAN hell holes / CHARTER CITIES.
P.S. I forgot to mention @TeesVMonitor and @PrivateEyeNews who have provided some detailed insights into the inner workings / shenanigans associated with specific "FREEPORTS"
In about 10 years time, people will be saying why did no-one warn us about the dangers posed by "FREEPORTS" / CHARTER CITIES in the UK. About 5 people have been.
