The response time at military airfields is typically maintained within 1–2 minutes, in line with ICAO standards and international best practices. More importantly, the first responding crash fire rescue unit is required to deliver sufficient extinguishing agent to reduce the fire intensity by up to 90% within one minute of arrival.
From my experience in military operations, these crash fire tenders are invariably positioned at immediate readiness during aircraft landing and take-off operations. They remain on standby specifically to ensure rapid intervention if required.
And that’s why I am amazed that if they were standby why even that slightest of the delay in undertaking extinguishing .
@ARanganathan72 Anand, for once, we clearly don’t mind officers or public servants taking vacations. However, when we see the enormous pendency of cases and the fact that an ordinary citizen often has to wait decades for justice, these numbers inevitably draw attention and raise questions.
The time has come to transform the Defence Space Agency (DSA) from a coordinating body into a fully empowered warfighting organization. Instead of waiting on DRDO, NTRO, or ISRO, the DSA must be given end-to-end ownership—from doctrine and capability development to deployment and operational execution.
Manned by 3–4 senior three-star/four-star officers with full accountability and autonomy, the DSA should drive decisions on satellite constellations, orbital architectures, trajectories, space-based ISR, communications, navigation, and defensive/offensive space capabilities.
Future warfare will be fought as much in space as on land, sea, air, and cyberspace. India must integrate quantum-secured networks, space-based data centres, air defence, directed-energy weapons, microwave systems, laser capabilities, and next-generation GPS architectures into a unified military space strategy.
Space is no longer a support domain—it is a strategic battlespace.

@ndtv@ShivAroor@VishnuNDTV Both the gentlemen have meticulously articulated theirs POV. I also see hope and no other way but to embrace risk to develop sovereign capability for our war fighters !
@MEAIndia Such an eyewash. You seem to have mastered the art of offering cold, detached responses. I only wish the same indifference would remain if one of the lives lost had been someone from your own family. Perhaps then the human cost behind these decisions would be harder to ignore.
@samartoor3086@realstewpeters@Blackrussiantv The Indian government hasn’t even issued an open criticism yet. Relegating the matter now would mean the score is never truly settled.
If you’re done with the cheerleading and your selective logic, try grounding your argument in reality. Dismissing India doesn’t elevate Pakistan—it just makes your bias obvious. And honestly, how much are you paid per post for this anti-India spin? Because it’s starting to look like a profession. If things here bother you that much, maybe step out of your armchair in the US and experience it firsthand.
@JayantBhandari5 At least we’re not firing point-blank at our own citizens—maybe take a moment to reflect on that before pushing a heavy-handed, authoritarian narrative. Debate facts if you have them, but don’t try to dress up propaganda as reason.
You’re coming across as nothing more than a poor reflection of Donald Trump—loud, unfocused, and lacking any real logical coherence. There’s no clarity in your argument, just distraction and inconsistency. If you’re going to use this platform, at least aim to inform rather than repeatedly demonstrating a complete absence of reasoning
@amitnkrity@samartoor3086@HQ_IDS_India Major Sahab! Ye apki tarah hi Indian Army ke Majors hai . But important ye nai hai , jo ye baat keh rahe hai , uspe dhyan dene ki jarurat hai
Major Arya hits back—Razor-sharp, precise, and unapologetically clear.
Cuts through noise like a beam of reason in a space clouded by selective outrage.
When facts speak with this kind of clarity, echo chambers don’t just get challenged—they get exposed
- well, sufficient enough to show some light to Lib-randus staying in Dungeons
Well said Anand. But Reinstatement is just optics, won’t solve the real issue. They will target that innocent chap eventually for opening up. Instead , why return to a place where your identity is negotiable?
Also, if certain religious expressions are accommodated, and others treated differently? Selective acceptance isn’t inclusivity—it’s straight up bias dressed up as policy.
We should focus on fixin the mindset, not just the headline.
