It’s #ArmedForcesDay—a special time to come together and celebrate the incredible men and women who serve or have served in our armed forces, along with the families who support them every step of the way. Thank you all!
#OnThisDay in 1950 the Korean War began. Almost 100,000 British troops fought in the battle and two Victoria Crosses were awarded. Despite this it is often referred to as the forgotten war. It lasted for three years, ending on 27 July 1953 with over 1,000 British fatalities.
Today is #ReservesDay, a day to honour and thank all reservists across Scotland for their outstanding service. Balancing civilian life with military duties takes real dedication, and the dedication it requires often goes unnoticed.
This Father's Day we’re celebrating the role of all military dads. Whether serving, veterans or civilians, you all play a huge part in the Armed Forces community. So, thank you 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you to Stirling Royal Arch No.76 for raising £1,000 for Poppyscotland through a raffle, auction and collection, kindly presented by David Harvey.

#OnThisDay in 1940, a week after the Dunkirk evacuations, 10,000 men of the 51st Highland Division were captured at St Valery. Most would spend the rest of the War in brutal conditions as POW’s. Today we remember the “Forgotten 51st”.
