PorchLight brings together essential services for survivors and their children to create a positive pathway forward, and to foster public safety. 💡No appt. req
PorchLight is collecting pantry items for our Thanksgiving Food Drive & new, unwrapped toys for our Winter Toy Drive to help ease that burden. For children who have experienced trauma, having food on the table and gifts to look forward to can help restore a sense hope. #fooddrive
Many in our community are terrified about the proposed budget cuts — not just to HUD, but across the board — and what they could mean for themselves and the 200,000+ Coloradans who rely on these programs to keep a roof over their heads. Survivors of domestic violence and their families could lose access to safe housing and life-saving services, forcing many to stay in unsafe situations or risk homelessness.
Thank you Family Tree Inc for hosting us alongside Foothills Regional Housing, Metro West Housing Solutions, @porchlightfjc, @cocoalition & @firstdaofco to discuss the critical work supporting our communities. These organizations are already stretched thin, and cuts would make it even harder for people facing dire circumstances to get the support they need. We're fighting back because families deserve better.

At PorchLight, we asked our team and partners:
What’s one thing you wish more people understood about domestic violence?
The answers were honest, powerful, and deeply human.
Too often, misconceptions keep survivors from being believed, or from even reaching out at all.
When people are at risk, pets are at risk. That's why we allow our guests to bring their pets when they visit. This week, thanks to an amazing volunteer, we got our new pet waste station set-up outside!

Understanding jurisdiction (who has the power to help) is key for DV survivors. Where abuse happened or where you live matters. Cross-state cases are complex, but help is out there. Visit https://t.co/sKTt9nBZhC for more information. #PorchLightFJC#YouAreNotAlone#FJC
This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we celebrate the individuals who make our mission possible. In 2024, our volunteers gave over 1,700 hours to support survivors and help us Be the Light in our community.

Today we honor the administrative professionals who are the heart of PorchLight. Behind every service offered, every schedule coordinated, & every guest welcomed with kindness, you’ll find their steady hands and compassionate spirit. We couldn’t do this without you! #fjc
