Finally cool enough for me to risk going outside again, but I missed the action it seems. I understand there's a vehicle or two under water in north bay now. There's something trying to break the water surface, and it isn't the rocks as it is nearly high tide.
@AnnetteAylett I want to go there again at some point, but probably not today. Popped out to shops earlier and it is already cooking out there. It is only going to get hotter!
2 years on this account, apparently. I created this to separate from another one with very different interests, which I hardly use at all now. I might as well rename this one "Random Scarborough Photos" or similar! Where do I go today? After coffee. #MyXAnniversary
@SallyAnneIngha1 Land train idea has been proposed. Look how wide it is in Brid. Is there space for one here? Sealife to Luna Park has more space than on South bay I guess. Alternate route for a land train could be through town near train station to South Bay, perhaps future revamped West Pier?
@SallyAnneIngha1 I didn't check before, but it was low tide when I was there.
I like the horse drawn carriages. Adds a little magic. On the condition the horses are well kept of course. They are licensed.
@MGR_Chille I stick to "following" tab so only see what people I follow post. Then again, under replies they do sometimes put random posts and I had to block what looked like reposts of the same video from lots of accounts. Someone out there is spamming.
Me'n'u cafe have been running a treasure hunt last few days and I have to have a go. Will admit defeat today but still a good walk out in the sun. Clues on their Facebook for anyone else who might fancy a go. Prize is a meal for two.
Another free residents day at Scarborough Castle later this month, plus Filey too. The story of The Battle of Flamborough Head was interesting when I heard it previously.
Also this Sunday (14th) are the Coble market by the market hall, and also the artisan fair at Royal Hotel.
