A part of Drake’s brand is being able to (as an outsider) be accepted/welcomed anywhere “The Culture” resides (by insiders).

Southern California is clearly off limits, so there’s a high likelihood that Drake will be strategically attempting to weaponize The Bay Area (as opposed to showing love and respect) in an effort to, first poach a sound/culture, and secondly to not appear as alone and unwelcome in California.

Drake is not a fool. He is fully aware of the Bay/LA conflict(s), and how passionate some folks get about it. But, as a Vibe Vampire he thrives on this type of play. A Vibe Vampire does not create culture. A Vibe Vampire feeds on it, drinking the blood of fresh movements until their soul becomes his cultural costume.
