Congratulations to Bandmaster @FizzieLizzie22 who completed the #LondonMarathon yesterday, raising money for @PorridgePens. She was back on the Parade Ground this afternoon putting the Band through their paces!
@theamelia_tw@Childrensalon We can’t wait for this night. The prizes are insane! And the odds of walking home with a diamond are amazing. If you want to win big then this is the event for you!
The @Childrensalon Foundation presents a Night at the Museum @theamelia_tw on Friday 1 July in aid of @PorridgePens. Featuring drinks reception with canapés, casino tables, live auction and raffle, live band and #charity pop up shop. Book now at https://t.co/oIwk2H396b
Porridge and Pens will be supporting Sam Ryder, who comes from the same town as half of the UK team as trustees are from. Bring back the prize @SamRyderMusic You’ve got this! Get voting everyone #Eurovision
Tomorrow marks the start of #BigGive
If you would like to donate to help us provide a safe home for girls, who would be living on the streets of Kumasi otherwise, there is never a better time. Every £1 donated will be doubled (up to £3500) https://t.co/lqQ2ljbDEz
Yesterday our #toughmudder team completed the challenging course with a few bumps and bruises all in aid of Porridge and Pens. Their fantastic fundraising will help to make our school playground a fun space for the children to just be children, laugh, play and make believe
This is such sad news. Already income streams and fundraising were cut due to Covid. Many trusts turned to support UK Covid response only and the big charities that previously accessed foreign aid could no longer so we all compete for the same smaller pots. Heartbreaking 💔
"Fewer girls will be educated, more girls and boys will become slaves, more children will go hungry, and more of poorest people in world will die.”
Former PM @theresa_may has said she will vote against the government on foreign aid cuts
Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday which means the launch of our @BigGive Christmas Challenge. Every donation made will be doubled. Never a better time to donate to make double the impact.
If you would like to make a donation so we can buy basic supplies for a family please visit our Total Giving page https://t.co/mjxL8vRKhp or our website https://t.co/KaxFs1jObb
We need your support now more than ever for children in poverty without electric, water or food.
The Brightlingsea Academy students and the girls on our Girl Power programme remain at home whilst schools are closed in Ghana. This means the children are not getting their two free meals a day. We are working hard to get emergency food aid to all of them for the second month.
With fundraising events cancelled and more trusts diverting their funds to charities working in the UK, we are hugely reliant on donations from our supporters so we can make sure children and their families do not go hungry. The threat of starvation is greater than the virus.
