PORT scholars enjoyed an adventurous day in Washington DC this week! Students advanced their college exposure by touring the Howard University campus! Scholars then enjoyed engaging tours of the Pentagon and The National Museum of African American History.

PORT scholars felt empowered from attending the “My Sister’s Keeper” event. Our young ladies engaged with various topics to build their self esteem, heighten their self awareness, and receive words of wisdom from insightful panelists!

PORT’s women’s history month assembly was nothing short of magical! We embarked on a virtual flight across the globe to learn about ground breaking women in history! A shout out to our student flight attendants and tour guides for providing this awesome experience!! ✨ ✈️ 🌎

PORT VLP prepared for spring break with a week of meaningful events! Family Literacy Night was a huge success with nearly 150 participants that celebrated the joy of literacy across all content areas! Student, parent, and staff presentations were inspiring and informative!!
