I may be late in sharing, but I hope my students don't confuse my tardiness with the pride I have in their writing. Here are 2 responses to a writing task created for the awesome short story "Flowers for Algernon":

@NicholasFerroni Unfortunately, the opposite will be true. Teachers will leave the field for other opportunities. Schools will compensate by putting more students into classrooms. 🙈🙉🙊

•Summers off
•A privileged pension
•Great health insurance
•Leave their job at 3pm
•Have an easy job

•We need more teachers, student supports
•We also need to increase their salaries so we dont continue losing quality teachers
We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. And they get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests except for PISA in HS and they outperform us every time. If we can’t give students more movement, recess, and play time then we don’t understand education.
