@mattshumer_ I hear a lot of people saying this but what was the efficiency improvement that you noticed? I felt like it was a similar speed with reasonable logic improvements but not the “groundbreaking intelligence” everyone is talking about.
Financial advisors are the greatest con men of the 21 century. Unless you are really old, really rich, or really stupid, you are being scammed if you are paying anyone to “manage your money”
The world feels like it is moving very fast, especially when working in the AI space. Just remember, the rate of innovation doesn’t directly increase the rate of adoption. People still don’t want to “learn ai”. There is so much opportunity for those willing to learn and experiment.
I respect the point but to an extent I think you’re wrong. The wording may never be identical but having build these systems I can tell you the responses become fairly controlled when built with a good context management system. I only see this getting better and easier to control
There are three stages of reaction to any disappointment in life. Anger…Sadness…Questioning
I think too often we make our decisions in the midst of the first two, and don’t give ourselves the time to get to the 3rd. The faster I get through the first 2, the better the chance is I make a decision after mentally arriving at the 3rd. And my decisions made after asking questions are usually better than those made without.
We are watching the beginning of the effects of energy restrictions on model providers. Restrictions are getting passed to the end user and becoming a serious consideration when picking which model to use. User experience will determine market dominance. Who can afford to sell energy at near cost levels by subsidizing from other cash flows? I like Google’s position in this situation.
Software is an extremely dynamic product that requires an insanely tight feedback loop to complete with the best. I have hired dev shops in the past, and I can say unless you have a massive distribution channel or are building the product yourself there is very little chance of success.
@litcapital My favorite is when they say “I’ve always used emdashes” yet that character is behind a long tap and most boomers can’t even figure out how to navigate the Home Screen.
I believe anyone can get good at anything with enough time, but we only get to pick a few things.
We need to be very cognizant of what we decide to get really good at.
@mcuban Doesn’t stripe already have that architecture layed out. I feel like if they’re through opus 4.7 on top of stripe atlas you’re 99% there without needing to be governor.
