Everyoneβs arguing about Cybercabβs price. Nobodyβs talking about what it actually kills: parking lots, insurance bloat, and the 9-to-5 commute. This isnβt a taxi. Itβs a new default for cities. @elonmusk@Tesla π€ π₯ π

Yeah thatβs the point though!
Nobody Ubers to work because itβs expensive. So they buy a car that just sits in a parking lot all day. Bus only works if you live on the right line. If the ride is cheap enough you donβt need that second car. Youβre not replacing every commute. Youβre replacing the car that does 45 minutes of work and 10 hours of nothing.
Uber already survives that exact curve with human drivers and $21 rides. A $9 Cybercab with no driver and no parking doesnβt have to be full at 3pm to beat a car that sits in a lot 23 hours a day. Peak is real, Thatβs what surge and depot charging are for. You size just shy of peak, not to " millions at 8:59am "
