My wife is NOT on board with my persona “Celeste” - a depressed woman in the French countryside who answers every phone call hoping it will help find her brother who disappeared a decade ago.
“Allo? Marcel?”
“Spencer goddamn it.”
“Allo?? My English not so good, eezyou Marcel?”
Every few years a new young screenwriter comes online and starts giving advice about how they "made it" in Hollywood and aspirants ask them lots of questions and they give horrible advice and you realize they've had one script optioned to their roommate and then they go away.
James gave me my first professional writing job on What Would Diplo Do. He took a chance on an unknown writer with a mediocre Twitter account. I was able to visit him a few months ago in Texas where we hung out for hours and talked about new ideas… mostly I tried to convince him to call Varsity Blues 2 “Varsity Twos”… he didn’t bite. The world lost a great person and I am endlessly thankful for being able to know him and his family.
@fatbaldguyracin my problem is that on the step-through (after he lifts his pivot foot), he pivots on that step-through foot. I don't see any clarification on that in the rule book. The step-through is fine, but pivoting on that step-through should be a travel.
Based on his facial features, I feel confident saying that Shohei Ohtani is secretly a chubby 8-year-old boy who found a magical amulet and wished to be the world’s greatest baseball player

After two incredible years, I’ve decided to step down as CEO of 𝕏.
When @elonmusk and I first spoke of his vision for X, I knew it would be the opportunity of a lifetime to carry out the extraordinary mission of this company. I’m immensely grateful to him for entrusting me with the responsibility of protecting free speech, turning the company around, and transforming X into the Everything App.
I’m incredibly proud of the X team - the historic business turn around we have accomplished together has been nothing short of remarkable.
We started with the critical early work necessary to prioritize the safety of our users—especially children, and to restore advertiser confidence. This team has worked relentlessly from groundbreaking innovations like Community Notes, and, soon, X Money to bringing the most iconic voices and content to the platform. Now, the best is yet to come as X enters a new chapter with @xai .
X is truly a digital town square for all voices and the world’s most powerful culture signal. We couldn’t have achieved that without the support of our users, business partners, and the most innovative team in the world.
I’ll be cheering you all on as you continue to change the world.
As always, I’ll see you on 𝕏
The “NO ELON” bumper stickers on Teslas rock. “I spent 60 grand on this car and 50 cents on this sticker. Which one do you think more accurately signals what I care about”
And lastly, the Steve Jobs archive produced a lovely video interviewing me and my fellow co-president Paola Fontein about it all. https://t.co/lamczmlu1n
We’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of Steve’s Stanford commencement address with a feature which includes a digitally enhanced version of the video along with rarely seen artifacts and firsthand accounts from people connected to the commencement. https://t.co/UNIIRBllfN
As a class president of Stanford's Class of 2005, I presented the idea to the administration to invite Steve Jobs to give the commencement address. Here's a lovely deep dive into everything that went into that day, and the significance it still carries.
Back in 2005, Jobs spent months trying to figure out what to say to Stanford’s graduates. Newly released materials show how he went from hopelessly flailing to delivering a talk for the ages. https://t.co/iirNT7ULMc
