Who’s ready to dance? We are, especially to the soulful sounds of blues, thanks to 2011 Oregon Music Hall of Fame Inductee @BoogieCatPDX 🎶
Norman and his band brightened up our office and shared the history of blues, from its roots in Africa through American folk art and storytelling as part of our 2023 Diversity Summit. #PoPDiversity #workculture
The @ColumbiaSlough Watershed Council’s mission is about taking care of the Columbia Slough and the land around it. We were happy to support this work by rolling up our sleeves to plant 250 native trees and shrubs in the Wilkes Creek Natural Area east of PDX this spring. Can you tell from everyone's smiles that we had a lot of fun too? #EarthDay #PortintheCommunity
Climate health, air quality and the well-being of employees and local communities are just some of the reasons why we’re using renewable diesel to reduce our environmental impact. Follow along over the next few days to learn how we celebrate #EarthDay 365 days a year at the Port: https://t.co/GVclmqmMLA
Racial equity consultant Scott Winn, is guiding the Port in our efforts to lead with a racial equity lens as part of our 2023 Diversity Summit, a three-week conference for employees. He says, "Why lead with racial equity? As an example, if we identify 20 barriers for kids graduating HS, but then think of the additional maybe 20 barriers that only students of color face, we may have another 20…”
Big thanks to the dozens of diversity, equity, and inclusion practitioners like Scott who are leading sessions to educate employees and help develop cultural competency at work. #PoPDiversity #DiversityMonth
