If they become extinct, both ecosystems will be impacted. In 2019, PL expanded the Xcacel Sea Turtle Sanctuary's dedication to saving the sea turtles with a $20,000 grant for core infrastructure improvements. :)

Did you know that only 1 in 1,000 sea turtle hatchlings make it into adulthood? From the moment they hatch, they are faced with many obstacles.

Everything from driftwood to footprints, and much bigger prey like crabs, birds, raccoons, dogs, and fish. Those that make it into adulthood are the lucky ones!
Sea turtles are part of two vital ecosystems: beaches and marine systems.
