In today’s report you strenuously denied that you submitted the name of a controversial judge to the King. You didn’t even have the courage to mention his name publicly.

Let me ask you plainly:
Are you referring to Datuk Seri Ahmad Terrirudin, the former Attorney General?

Is it true that Terrirudin met you months ago while still AG, and the meeting involved discussions about his eventual elevation to Chief Justice? That’s what I heard the talk amongst lawyers.

Thats probably explain his sudden promotion to the Federal Court, despite having no prior experience as a judge?

You claim that Minister Azalina can confirm you did not submit his name for this current Conference of Rulers. That may be technically accurate ; but that’s not the point.

What the public wants to know is this:
Did you have a prior plan to place him in line for Chief Justice, bypassing the JAC’s procedure and process?

Your denial of submitting his name today does not absolve you if you were quietly advancing his candidacy in earlier months, behind closed doors, in of the Judicial Appointments Commission’s recommendations.

If what I have heard is true, then this is not mere gossip — it is a serious breach of constitutional trust, and a direct attack on judicial independence.

Your silence on these specifics only deepens public suspicion.
I ask again: Are the rumours true?
