Roberto De Zerbi is weird.
You’ve heard of “possession-based, high-pressing, positional play” coaches before. But these shouldn’t be the main adjectives to describe De Zerbi.
I’ll mostly look at his year at Shakhtar & show you why this guy is not your average JdP coach.
Woolwich fools still don’t get it. Watch any other game of his besides Arsenal—he was good then, too—and you’ll see why Romero walks into Real Madrid’s XI easily.
This is only disputed by weirdos who can’t see football through anything but their own club’s lens.
The problem with Tottenham being good again is I’m worried the big boys will start sniffing round our players, realistically people like Romero Destiny etc could all be real madrid players
@SpirosValouxis@FPL_NA7 Hmm isn’t Haaland one of the few players itw who consistently outperforms xG (I know guys like Son can, too, tho he doesn’t get as many shots)? Isn’t that evidence to suggest positive variance does swing in Haaland’s favor more than others
@adamkmiec@AdamCrafton_@MUFCoystein Read carefully, and you’ll see accounts from gay Qataris and anti-gay Qataris about how unsafe it is to be gay in Qatar.
Adam is likely questioning Beckham’s perspective *because* of his own reporting. Again, weird, I know. 🤷♂️
@pr1vsxm 1. No matter the contact, tripping a player who has ran away from you is always given as a yellow, especially when the offender hasn’t tried to play the ball
2. No matter if the ball is there or not, Jones is gonna go studs first into Bissouma’s ankle
3. No???
@pr1vsxm The solutions listed don’t require more than Liverpool having a dialogue with the PGMOL & guidelines changing. As I’ve stated, they don’t just make errors & say sorry. At the national & international, there’s precedent for change being made without a club making empty threats.
Yeah so it’s ok that Liverpool is mad. Other clubs have been screwed over by bad ref decisions but that means they should complain, too. But the protocols for remedy are satisfactory, so Liverpool “exploring all options” like they’re gonna take the PGMOL to court is hysterical
@pr1vsxm @TheM_L_G It’s not whataboutism. The protocols for remediation are to identify the error & put new guidelines in place or punish referees.
This has never needed a wronged club to “explore options” except say “hey, this sucks!” So I ask again: what do you want Liverpool to do to the PGMOL?
@pr1vsxm @TheM_L_G e.g. Eric Dier had an impossible-to-avoid handball called against him in the 2020/21 season. IFAB quickly changed handball guidelines for that season because of other bad calls.
Under new PGMOL leadership, Referees have been stood down more often because of bad errors.
@flameosumeet@lb09_@afcjxmes Wouldn’t be so sure of this. Chelsea can terminate the loan early, so if there’s enough pressure from the club, Andrey’s agent, and even the media, and if Forest intends to use Andrey at some point…
