I am a member of the Church of Mormon. I believe in the Trinity, reject Joseph Smith as a prophet, and oppose the notion that Jesus and Satan are brothers. But since my church has Mormon in the name, I am a Mormon, and I demand that the world recognize me as such.

Merely by a causal story of how minds are changed. Both imprudence and sinful behavior can be corrected, either by confrontation or by an exemplary neighbor.
I like Foster; he’s an exemplary Christian man. But the rigour of argumentation here is lacking: it can never follow that because someone was convinced to behave differently by example, then the original behavior was moral. Correction of sin and imprudence is not distinguished…
growing up on long island i was shocked that kennedy was the only catholic president. i fully thought catholicism was the most common denomination of christianity in the US
@OVTweetmarck Based on the USSR’s diplomatic history (Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Afghanistan, etc.), this must have been intended to mock attempting diplomacy before using force.
