I’m a postpartum nurse.
I see what new parents actually struggle with when they leave the hospital.
Most of it isn’t talked about enough.
I’m going to start sharing simple, real tips here daily to make that transition easier.

@FollowIncentiv If you’re always right, then you’ve probably convinced yourself that everyone else’s feelings, opinions, and experiences don’t matter.
At some point, they’re tired to listen to it.
@Monica1776 If you know it as an accident to get pregnant, there’s no reason to get an abortion. Then you should’ve been careful to begin with …
That’s a baby’s life we’re talking about
@TheLowkeyMummy I think it’s because it’s tough when you have a family and the lack of strength one feels. But I know deep down, one should know that there is a light in the end of the tunnel and it’s for the best.
@YourOptimalSVA I was ready for marriage but choosing the wrong person really makes you doubt your decision.
The person you choose really shows you how not everyone is ready to be a partner for life.
What would you do?
Stick around in a relationship pretending you’re happy for your child?
Or
Give up, leave and know in the end it’s the best for your child.
I’m going towards to leave as many can see it’s selfish. Selfish I would say personally is sticking around, pretending to be happy and not showing the true meaning of love to my child.
Love should be shown everyday between a household and if it’s not, it impacts the development meaning of love for a child.

Having a child and trying to raise your child really brings out the true colors of your husband.
When the time is crucial and how he doesn’t understand how postpartum has been says a lot about the person than you. And the kind of man he is.
Sometimes self worth and choosing yourself is better than being stuck in a relationship when you feel alone. As a mother, you want the best for your child and not living in a toxic household. I understand now how postpartum depression can really increase for moms. No support increases the risk for it.

I wish I can stay home with her and be there for any little moment she has. When will she start crawling? When I’m working and then I miss it 😭😭

I wish time slowed down for my baby. I can’t believe she’s 6 months now. I love this stage tho, she’s so interactive, engaged and recognizes familiar faces now. She makes my day 🥰
