i think one of the craziest things about aot is that eren literally gives the reason why he did the rumbling on screen and some way, somehow, thousands of people collectively ignored that very part of the episode

I hate Gaza
I hate how it’s been destroyed
I hate how most of my people are living in tents
I hate how I’ve lived my worst days here
I hate how we have the most child amputees in the world
I hate how there’s a 99.99% unemployment rate
I hate how everyone relies on aid boxes to survive
I hate how no matter what, what is gone of Gaza will never return

but I love Gaza.. it’s beautiful
I love my friends and family here
I love the people
I love that no matter what we still try our best in everything
I love everything Gaza gave me, be it mental or physical

I have a responsibility towards my people and the land here.

I’ll try my best to be a good representation of its people and hopefully help rebuild it in the future

I know I’ve maybe said something along the lines of “I hate Palestine” not too long ago - when I say that, this is what I mean.

I’ll miss my country once I do leave. I’ll forever cherish this place in my heart
