Caleb’s favorite thing is pepperoni pizza but my favorite thing is him so I got him a heart shaped pizza bc I’m cheesy.

I’ve watched as a little boy searches the floor for crumbs after meals trying to eat every last piece because when he was with his bio family he had to eat crumbs and he’s scared every meal could be he last for a long time.

I’ve had parents tell me that as soon as they get home from picking their kid up the set them in front of the tv so they don’t have to deal with them. Explains why your kid is constantly fighting for attention from the teacher because they don’t get it at home

I’ve spent hours trying to comfort a child who was crying because her mom moved states away and just left her so that she could go off and do drugs and party instead of be a mom. Do you know how fucking heartbreaking it is to hear a 6 year old say “my mommy doesn’t love me”

I’ve sat and worried as a kid I know is in a bad situation didn’t show up to daycare for over a week straight. You guys don’t know how hard I cried when I finally saw her again and knew she was okay.

I’ve watched as a grown man yelled at his two year old niece, who he has custody of, for calling him dad. That poor baby is so confused she doesn’t know who her real parents are and the uncles making things so much worse.

I’ve watched kids come into daycare wearing the same clothes for almost a full week

I’ve had to change kids in the morning at work out of diapers that you could clearly tell were from the night before.

I’ve had a kid come up to me at work and tell me that the heat got shut off at home. This was right before one of our snow storms and mom refused to take the kid to a family members house to sleep and stay warm.

There’s a little girl at work who’s 1 and a half and she comes in with dirty unwashed matted hair and the other day I washed it in the sink and when I was finished she smiled and said “thank you” that poor baby was so happy just to have her hair washed

How can people treat their kids so poorly I’m tired of seeing signs of neglect and abuse everyday and of hearing stories from the many foster children I meet. I’m so heartbroken guys you don’t even understand

The most heartbreaking thing in the world is when my little cousin tell’s my aunt he can’t eat anything with butter on it because when he was still with his bio mom she wouldn’t feed him so he’d get so hungry he’d eat sticks of butter and it just disgusts him now.
