@riverr__t I totally understand! ❤️

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@careyksloan Yes! I would have no idea how to write if I didn’t read as well. I learn more about writing by reading than anything else!

You are not an imposter.
Writing makes you a writer.

Let me say that louder for the people in the back.

YOU ARE NOT AN IMPOSTER.
WRITING MAKES YOU A WRITER.

@QuillQuestions Yes!!! I write my best in random spur of the moment bursts, mostly at night when I should be sleeping haha

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@alealune I day dream constantly. Sometimes it takes months for something good to come up in my daydreams that I can actually use lol, and some of it is inspired by other books.

How do you guys feel about SJM? I feel like she gets so much hate. I really love the ACOTAR series and think she’s a great storyteller!

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@Itsprax1 Wow that’s amazing!

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

How long did it take you to write your first novel? I’m 22,000 words in and it’s taken me many months 😢

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@lffalconer Okay good to know! That’s awesome 😎

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@RyujinValerie Probably plot Sargent and story sprite haha!

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@RyujinValerie I got you!

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@Cheyenne_Kai Haha I totally feel you on that! It can be helpful for sure though :)

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

I can only write while also reading lots of books for inspiration. I also study their prose and book structuring. Is anyone else like this? I feel like I couldn’t write if I didn’t have other books as inspiration

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@Prof_Bogs @Archetypist_Pod I’ll have to check it out!

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@RyujinValerie Okay cool, good to know 😌

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@j_lewis_author It probably scares her that you’re following your passion… because she never did. Older generations have been fed this idea that following your passion is idealistic. Don’t let her old programming stop you 😊

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

@benjaminlocke92 This is exactly what I do! It is more fun this way.. sometimes I get side tracked, but I’m just not a planner! Thanks for sharing your strategy 😀

[Potatowriter @Potatowriter11]

How do you guys keep track of your plot when writing? Do yo have a system for when to introduce certain plot points/when to weave in certain themes?
