The NHL’s playoff ratings momentum carried into the Stanley Cup Final.
Game 1 averaged 4.8 million viewers on ABC—up 98% year over year and the series’ biggest opening audience since 2019.
Forever, I’ve said the loudest sports arena I’ve ever been in was the old Chicago Stadium. After these first 2 #StanleyCup games in Raleigh, I might have to rethink that. My ears still hurt!
Let me guess, today, the ESPN pundits who hate the South are going to be saying "if it wasn't for the questionable call of 'No Goal' rather than "what an amazing come back win by the Carolina Hurricanes after a masterful save by Freddie... #nhl#hockey#stanleycup#caneswin
Hey ESPN, you talked all that junk about how Vegas came back from two down to win game one...what about the 2 goal deficit in game two?
Can you finally shut Suban and his pajamas up when it comes to talking about the best team in the East? He never won anything
If there's one thing the Canes first line needs to do tonight, it's SHOOT THE PUCK! Stop trying to make the fancy passes and just SHOOT. Put the rebounds in. Your line needs to contribute!
@FrontierCorp my fiber Internet has been out all day, and I've gotten one text about it, with no timeframe or offer of a solution.
What is wrong with my service, and why is it still down? The connection box is right next to my house and I need internet to work
A better response than most give in this situation, but $1000+ for a upper level seat due to second hand resellers is still bullshit. Couple that with the $75+ parking, and suddenly those that were paying to see the game are now priced out due to greed.
Hurricanes GM Eric Tulsky on #StanleyCup ticket prices: "There's a lot of demand right now and it's part of how the business works. When people all want to come to games, the games get more expensive. When nobody was in the building, you could get in for $5 or $10 bucks, that's not how it is now. I think we still have very competitive prices compared to most teams. We have an affordable market comparatively. But when you get to the Final, there's a lot of people that want to come to games and that's just how the market works."
"You look at the secondary market, they're going for twice face value. The demand is even higher than where we priced it. We tried to keep it to a place where our regular ticket holders could still afford to come. But it's a lifetime memory and that's something a lot of people want to be a part of."
