Kaori Gokita is a Diesel engine of creative energy. Kaori is a painter, potter, photographer and loves to sketch. Wow! On top of all that, Kaori wants to learn some pottery production skills. So, she is working with staff member Danielle, to learn how to slip-cast our moulds.
You can't run a pottery studio, for artists with diverse abilities , without very special potters. Arlynn Nobel, Jesselin T'Kenye, Ami Sangha and Moni Feizabadi, are all talented potters, who come to our studio to teach our artists to thrive. We thank you with sincerest gratitude
Ryley Jensen Fisk has turned out these spectacular Ramen bowls. Linda Raudonus continues her Mid-Century Modern inspired design. James Lash has really captured the whimsy of Maud Lewis with this platter. Arlynn Nobel's mugs are always a highlight in our kilns. Have a look !
Yesterday Snap Photo Squad took the Q to Q ferry to Queensborough and found some beautiful nature shots. The trip across the Fraser River was the fun part but they equally enjoyed exploring and finding natural settings. I'm sure they'll decide to revisit Queensborough again soon.
Yesterday's Colour Collective studio, saw major development. Bradley Merritt finished his whale painting, his first painting. Bradley is a talent, stay tuned for his future work. James Lash is closer to completing his landscape and Geoffrey Lee is on fire producing abstract works
We've seen James Lash produce many gorgeous paintings. However we've ever seen him quite as excited about a work as he is about his latest landscape. This work is being considered for Inclusion Show 2026 poster, even though it's still being developed. James is full of smiles.
Artist Lydia Kim has an enormous creative energy. Lydia paints draws hand builds, wheel throws and glaze designs her own work. Recently, Lydia created a new series of cards, each unique and featuring a cast of characters that give us a view inside of Lydia's world. Enjoy the view
This mornings kiln unloading, had a wealth of First Nations platters by Ryley Jensen Fisk. Kaori Gokita's Koi Fish design is fabulous and her candle sticks are really yummy. Jocelyn Tong's Apple Tree plate is. Alex Lecce threw and glazed the cream and sugar set with Blue Bells.

We want to give a shout out to long time Colour Collective member Geoffrey Lee. Geoffrey is an experimental painter, he's up for trying anything. In the past few months, Geoffrey has been trying new techniques and developing a new direction for his abstract paintings, every week.
James Lash and Sangeeta Rekhi have been working hard at their Maud Lewis project. The results are beyond our expectations. It's rewarding to watch the work of a beloved Canadian artist, inspiring our artists to create that feeling of innocence and a time long past in our country
Sangeeta Rekhi has a stunning Maud Lewis piece, a large bowl. James Lash produced more of his fabulous abstract design and Dan Tell has provided us with another Tulip platter. Kaori Gokita's 60's inspired floral design is becoming very popular with our customers.
Yesterday, Snap Photo Squad visited Surrey's Fleetwood Park. This was their first time visiting this beautiful park and they weren't disappointed. They caught some shots, of a beautiful area. It's the time of year and the area of the world, to catch these incredible spring photos
The work of the Colour Collective painters is certainly showing their years of work and development. The current crop of paintings under development, are simply on a another level for each of these artists. That makes us excited to see what our art shows this fall will look like.
This morning was the mother load of glaze kilns. Sangeeta Rekhi created a stunning Maude Lewis platter, Bradley Merritt's Penguin platter is as usual incredible. Dan Tell has another addition to his Hockey Player series. Jocelyn Tong's heart tree in her favourite blue is perfect.
Yesterday, Snap Photo Squad went to Redwoods Park in Surrey, where they found some amazing subjects to photograph. This was their first time visiting that location, and it didn't disappoint. This park is know for it's structures, small houses, bird houses and they found them all.
Jessica Park is the prime example of an artist transforming themselves in our studio. So, it was a sad day, when Jessica moved away with her family. Yesterday, Jessica was in Vancouver and came back to visit and made a new painting during her visit. We loved seeing her again.
