I’d like more understanding.

Today I’m told Zionism is apartheid, racism, evil & racist. Why?

What’s the definition of Zionism? Why is an Islamic state okay but a Jewish state isn’t okay? Why does the UK left support Islamic extremism, and Jihadism but call Zionism evil?

Make this all make sense 🙏

I think your point about education is particularly important.

We teach children about ancient civilisations, their histories and their connections to the world today. Yet Jewish history is too often reduced to the Holocaust, with thousands of years of identity and connection to the land barely discussed.

It's difficult to have an informed debate about Zionism when so many people have never been taught the history behind it.

Everybody does know don’t they that we don’t all have to pick a side between Israel & Palestine don’t they? We can hope for peace & support both Muslims & Jews? Sectarianism isn’t a necessary requirement of UK politics, unless you choose it.

By its very title one could assume that any event called ‘the Battle of Ideas’ will contain a wide range of political opinions. Some you won’t like.

Guilt by association isn’t clever in any direction.
