As a drummer, Tony spent his early years on the road and in the studio with influential indie/post-hardcore bands. He powered the rhythm section for Smart Went Crazy (Dischord Records) during their key years, contributing to their raw, inventive sound on tours and recordings. He later co-founded and drummed for The Caribbean, blending intricate post-rock textures with pop sensibilities across multiple albums, including Populations and Moon Sickness. Those experiences—touring relentlessly, experimenting with sound, and collaborating intensely—shaped a deep appreciation for rhythm, flow, and unexpected patterns.After a decade in music, Tony channeled that same creative energy into visual art. Under the name Pour Dennison, he became a passionate explorer of acrylic pour and fluid art techniques.
