Hum released in 1991 & I went to watch it with my mom & grandma. It's been 33 years since that day, and I still remember being glued to the screen and the main reason was this man. There have been and will be superstars but there will only be one @SrBachchan. The only G.O.A.T
Tom we take you to one more cafe in south Kolkata where some of the Olympians and Asian games footballers of India used to frequent as some of the yesteryears Bengali filmstars . Are you following #kolkataclassics on Instagram ? @PoutPretty is my partner of crime here.

I'm appalled to see the India Today Group give Indrani Mukerjea, accused of murdering her own daughter, centre stage at the India Today Conclave 2024. It's now abundantly clear that the India Today, once revered as the moral compass of the nation, has lost its way. For an entire excruciating hour Indrani was treated with kid gloves and given a platform to once again position herself as the innocent victim of a diabolical conspiracy. In one acutely embarrassing segment, we were treated to her gyrating seductively (holding a Trishula) to Hara Hara Shambhu! The session served no other purpose than as a cheap, marketing platform for her book (published unfortunately by @HarperCollins that also published my recent novel 'If I Have To Be A Soldier') & the doc series about her on Netflix. Every person is innocent until proven guilty - that I believe. But ...must we bestow celebrityhood on a woman accused of murdering her own child before she's judged innocent in court? Must we normalise brutal crimes by converting them into vulgar soap operas masquerading as investigative journalism? Must our greed to make money by slickly packaging evil for mass media consumption, cause us to obliterate all memories of the victim? Perhaps the India Today, by centre staging Indrani, is shrewdly and cynically exploiting our hunger as a society for the macabre and holding up a mirror - so that ‘We The People’ may see how deep into Dante's circles of hell, we've descended.
