Daisy Bates ran one of the most important Civil-Rights publications in the U.S. during the '50s and '60s, the "Arkansas State Press". She also held the role of Arkansas NAACP while she worked to desegregate Arkansas schools, including advising the Little Rock Nine in 1957!
