As educators, we may never know the seeds we’re planting…but kindness, compassion, and genuine connection have a lasting impact.
On yesterday’s #ELBPodcast, @PMendez_ELMS shared a powerful reminder of what truly matters in our schools. We don’t know what our students are carrying with them. But it’s our job to make sure they are heard and loved.

I’m incredibly honored and grateful for the opportunity to join Andrew Marotta’s podcast and share the work that is so close to my heart, both on my campus and throughout the community.

Final day of Powerful Ravens! 🖤💛
We wrapped up our year with a time of reflection and celebrating the fruits of all the growth that filled this season.
To these amazing students—I am incredibly proud of each of you and excited to see what lies ahead. Until next year, Ravens!
Staying consistent in doing what’s right, even when results are slow, is a powerful form of patience. Galatians 6:9 encourages us not to grow weary in doing good, because a harvest will come in due time. This builds discipline, resilience, and long-term vision.
Hard seasons are where patience is refined. James 1:2–4 explains that trials test our faith and develop perseverance, leading to spiritual maturity. This lesson helps people see challenges not as setbacks, but as growth opportunities.
Over the past six months, I’ve had the incredible honor of walking through this journey as Teacher of the Year. I am beyond grateful for the recognition and the opportunity to represent ELMS. I will cherish this season for years to come! #2026TOY
Patience is essential in how we treat others. 1 Corinthians 13:4 starts with “Love is patient…” Teaching patience here builds compassion, forgiveness, and emotional control—key traits for strong, healthy relationships.
We just finished studying forgiveness and what a powerful journey it’s been. The more deeply we understand and truly receive God’s forgiveness, the more it transforms our hearts and empowers us to extend that same grace to others. Let’s carry that love forward!
We’re studying forgiveness because it’s a hard to give and receive. God freely offers forgiveness. The moment you asked God for forgiveness, God forgave you. Release the guilt, the shame, the weight you were never meant to carry!
We’ve prepared our hearts and minds to MASTER the STAAR! We relieved testing anxieties through reading, praying, and journaling…building confidence one step at a time! Because whatever we do, we do it with EXCELLENCE!
28 Day Challenge happening now! It's a wonderful opportunity to train ourselves to respond to life's challenges with healthy tools. Here are a few suggestions to help get you motivated and started on this journey.
Where is your treasure?
Wherever our treasure rests, that’s where our heart will find its home. When we cling too tightly to earthly things, they can shift our priorities and draw us away from God’s desire for us—to live generous lives rooted in love!
The Bible teaches that generosity comes from the heart. We are blessed so that we can bless others. We should give joyfully and cheerfully because that’s how God gives to us.
We are studying generosity this month! So often our love is reduced to loving people who we find lovely and who will love us in return. But that's not God's love. God's love is showered on the undeserving. God so loved the world...
Starting off the new year with intention! To live intentionally is to live with purpose being mindful of each moment, grounded in clear goals, and trusting God to guide our hearts. #2026Goals
So proud of our amazing coaches and students for representing ELMS with excellence and pride at the UIL Academics competition! Their hard work, dedication, and competitive spirit truly paid off as they brought home an incredible 2nd place finish! Way to go!
Ending 2025 with a bang! Power-FULL Ravens are ready for next year by reflecting and praying about what they want to grow in. Looking forward to growing!
Embracing our identity in Christ fills us with strength. This is the foundation of our confidence! He is the source of true stability and peace in our lives. Join us next month as we study out empathy!
