​రాచవారిపాలెం సమీపంలో ఒక దారుణమైన సంఘటన మా దృష్టికి వచ్చింది. కేవలం 8 సంవత్సరాల వయసున్న రామయ్య అనే చిన్నారి గొర్రెలు మేపుతూ కనిపించాడు.

మమ్మల్ని చూసి ఆ బాలుడు ఏడుస్తూ చెప్పిన మాటలు గుండెను పిండేస్తున్నాయి:

"అన్నా… నన్ను ఇంటికి తీసుకెళ్లండి. నాకు అన్నం కూడా సరిగా పెట్టడం లేదు. నేను సరిగ్గా తిరగలేకపోతున్నాను."

​విచారించగా ఆ బాలుడు నర్రవాడ గ్రామానికి చెందినవాడని తెలిసింది.

ఇంత చిన్న వయసులో బాలుడిని పనుల్లో పెట్టి, ఆకలితో అలమటించేలా చేయడం తీవ్రమైన నేరం.
