I’m very happy that the #AMCA RFI has finally been issued, but we still have a long way to go before any real development work actually begins.

Why can’t the #GoI and #MoD at least fast-track the paperwork side of AMCA so actual work can begin sooner? ✈️

@akki_bauer22_ I may be wrong, but I still think the #Mirage2000 & especially #MiG29 still have plenty of life left if their radars, avionics & weapon packages are upgraded with Indian alternatives

I also think #IAF should consider taking over #IndianNavy’s MiG29k and upgrading them as well

There are expectations that the IAF may place another order for new #Su30MKI's even before deliveries of the current 12 aircraft are completed and the production line shuts down.

@alpha_defense Bhai, as far as I know these are AL-31FP engines used on the #Su30MKI, and I don’t remember any major or exciting update currently pending around them.

But honestly, whenever and wherever jet engines are mentioned, I automatically get excited 😅

@cruxmal88 God knows why they didn’t go for local production of the F404, but honestly I don’t think it would’ve changed much becoz even with local assembly, core & other critical components would still have come from U.S.

So we would'we ended up facing the same delay issues from GE

RM Rajnath Singh is on a visit to South Korea, and honestly I hope Koreans showcase all their advanced defence systems to him especially platforms like KF-21

Maybe then our leadership will realise how fast the world is moving.

@cruxmal88 They’ve been in China’s lap for the last decade, but before that they were always in the U.S. camp.

And there are two reasons why they can’t get the F-35:

1. They can’t afford it.
2. The U.S. doesn’t trust them becoz of their history of tech leaks to other nations for money.
