#FlyAsh and #BottomAshes are produced through coal combustion in #powerstations.
Ashes are beneficially used to create building materials such as #concrete, #cement and building blocks as they are environmentally friendly – with low embodied carbon compared to alternatives.
Are you aware of some of the other benefits?
✅Fly Ash reduces the heat of hydration in large #concrete pours.
✅Concrete using Fly Ash is more durable and longer lasting than regular concrete.
✅Bottom Ashes are lightweight to make easier to handle building blocks.
We strive to ensure a reliable ongoing supply of fly ash to meet customer demand.
By working with power stations to source fresh fly ash, and extracting ash from legacy stockpiles we strive to go above and beyond for our clients.

Meet Joanne!
Jo first joined the PML team in 2008, working as an Accounts Assistant at our Drax office until 2012. She then re-joined back in 2017 after enjoying it so much the first time.
Away from work, she enjoys being with her better half and her little dog Woody.

“#Apprenticeships are a great option, as it allows you to gain valuable experience of full-time work, whilst also gaining qualifications that will help you in your future career.
The progress I was making in my studies was reflected in my role and the tasks I was taking on.”
Will has really benefitted from his #apprenticeship: “I started at Power Minerals 10 years ago next month, studying for my AAT whilst working full time.
"I started off as an accounts clerk, and have now progressed, whilst carrying on studying towards my CIMA qualification.
#Apprentices have always played an important role in our organisation, and we are proud to have had five members of the team come through this route over the years.
One of our Accounts Assistants, Will Jones, is a former apprentice and is celebrating 10 years with us.
