@sociodoug #daccsoc Socioeconomy inequalities can be seen anywhere. China may not be as rich as the US but their citizens are faring the same. There is still a huge gap in income between rich and poor and most poor have to work hard for their dreams.

@sociodoug #DACCSOC spanking and abuse are totally different. There is also other types of abuse other than spanking such as verbal or emotional which I think can be more damaging. I have 2 kids and have spanked them in the past but very rarely does it get to that point.

@sociodoug #daccosc Hate and racism was never eradicated and I believe it only became stronger when Trump became president. People who hid their racism now think it's ok to lash out. I also believe most of these crimes have been underreported through the decades.

@sociodoug #daccsoc powerhouse sport colleges. They use these teams to attract students but as the article stated, these sports are not bringing in any academic profit. They are essentially living for the sport and not their students education.

Children are no longer able to wear Moana, Pocahontas, be a cowboy etc without being called out. They are CHILDREN. Adults on the other hand, should know what's appropriate

@sociodoug #daccsoc when wanting to be normal is not allowed by the government, we have issues. People are having to protest to feel like they belong without being discriminated upon. We have taken huge steps to move forward in this issues and it seems like we are now going backwards.

@sociodoug #daccsoc horrible how humans are being treated for profit. It is not only about discrimination at this point but not allowing people to get the medical help they need when asked for is unacceptable. No pregnant mother should be forced to work grueling hours to make a profit.

@sociodoug #daccsoc homelessness has always been an issue and it seems it is only getting bigger. We should start implementing programs to get these people the help they need instead of them reverting to panhandling just to get by.

@sociodoug @BostonGlobe Legacy admissions have been happening since these universities opened which is one of the reason affirmative action came into play. They know they have been biased and I am glad Asian-Americans have decided enough is enough. I applaud them. #DACCSOC
