Okay, since a lot of Sonic fans can't give constructive criticism, I will.
I wouldn't say this song as a whole is bad. I do like the instrumentation and the references to Sonic's past games. I feel like part of what makes this song not hit quite as hard as it should is the lyrics. Now I know the lyrics were written by Tee Lopes, which keep in mind he doesn't do very often so it kinda makes sense why people would find some places rough.
Now Nate seems to not be very liked for his voice for some reason and I think it personally sounds good, but I also feel like a lot of people are being harsh on him just because it isn't Johnny. I think if Nate really wanted to he could try and add more grit and punch to his voice, but even then Johnny is pretty irreplaceable.
Other than that, I think this song is pretty solid and is a great way to celebrate 35 years of Sonic. Not a bad song.
I’m sorry but @AMCTheatres I can’t take this anymore. If you’re going to make me keep listening to Nicole Kidman tell me how magical the movies are the LEAST you can do is dim the lights WHEN SHE SAYS THE LIGHTS DIM DOWN like it’s right there cmon
