It takes a lot of programming and cloud storage space to add streaming functionality, even just podcasts.

Shopping for new headphones is so upsetting, these devices are ridiculously overpriced for the hardware you're getting.

Streaming isn't and, as it stands, will never be profitable for anyone involved, not even the company that's doing the streaming. Unless they copy Netflix and start making their own music.
