Terminology matters.
I don't use the term ''#sexaddiction'' for two main reasons
a) there isn't enough robust evidence to suggest sexual #addiction actually exists
b) treating compulsive sexual behaviour is not the same as treating an addiction

Those ''counter protesting'' & encouraging the drowning out of women's voices - I could as a left wing Irish woman, as others have, say ''shame on you'', but I know, too well, just how deeply toxic shame is to a person. Instead, I am ashamed OF you. 15/15
#LetWomenSpeakDublin
A ''counter protest'' is planned for the #LetWomenSpeakDublin event & I want to speak to those of you planning to attend or supporting this ''counter protest''. I am a woman you would seek to silence on Saturday. My story is one you seek to drown out with ''lots of noise''. 12/15
After 55 years of life, 35 of those working professionally in the field of sexuality, I know, to the very marrow of my bones, just how poisonous shame is & how it infects every part of who & how we are, but we must really face this thread of Irish life in order to heal it.

@poems_by_tessy Completely agree! He's only known them 5 minutes they aren't obligated to choose a life partner before they've had a bloody date! And he's done no worse than monique did with Martin H imo.
I just feel so much for Martin M's son, it must feel really awful to see everyone talking about his father like this, I wonder if one of the girls was torn between two men, if they'd be villanised like this (just a thought, not saying his behaviour's been ok) #mymumyourdad
@LinziRainbow Makes you laugh they sit complaining about all the bellends and shit relationships they've had then choose the same type of bloke over the dependable one yet again!!
D'you know who I have sympathy for right now? Martin M's son Luke. The poor lad's watching his dad wrapping 2 women around his finger. And then basically rejecting one and goodness knows about the other. #MyMumYourDad
@omg_a_llama @JeanHatchet He does have some insightful things to say about drug addiction and trauma. The two aren't mutually exclusive unfortunately...
