This is exactly the problem, but there’s no point trying to convince you because your own argument gives you away.
The GOAT debate has never been about just goals, trophies, Ballons d’Or or the World Cup. Those are achievements they complement greatness, they don’t create it.
The debate is about football itself. Who mastered every aspect of the game? Who could score, create, dictate tempo, manipulate space, control matches and make everyone around him better?
If you’re a genuine lover of football, you know there’s only one player who completes every chapter of the game to the highest level: Lionel Messi.
Ironically, even those who dismiss him spend every transfer window searching for a player who can replicate even a fraction of what he does.
What Messi offers on a football pitch is why he’s regarded as the greatest. His trophies and individual awards don’t define his legacy they simply reinforce what the game has already shown us.

This is one of the sports I wish the government would invest in. We have what it takes to dominate this sport. 😔
the whole "rigged for Argentina" online discourse is a great case study on how the general population is frighteningly easy to manipulate with simple propaganda. and how it's especially effective on the less educated, or "casuals"/"larpers"
.@javigiorgetti: "You could split Lionel Messi’s career into two separate halves; 2004 to 2015, and 2016 to 2026."
"Either one, on its own, would still make him the greatest player in football history."
...Gol kedua Argentina, banyak foto beredar bahwa Messi injak kaki Spencer.
Sayangnya yg sebar hoax tuh kurang jeli detail editannya.
Kaus kaki para pemain Argentina gak polos, ada gambar lambang AFA-nya.
Dan di angle video jelas kalo Messi gak nginjak kaki Spencer... (``,)
It's insane there's people who don't watch the game who see screenshots and then invent a whole scenario in their head about what happened. Bellingham is barging into him and knocking him off the pitch here, messi isn't just randomly putting a 6ft3 guy in a headlock
🚨 Messi:
🎙️ Reporter: "Leo, how do you always manage to find teammates like Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez in those moments?"
Messi: 🗣️ "That's part of my job. If the opposition stops me from scoring, then I'll create the chance for my teammates. It doesn't matter who gets the goal - as long as Argentina wins, that's what matters most."
