@Albarracin23 @D2SouthAmerica at this point do what valve did in CS2 and combine the americas so both scenes have consistent competition in qualifiers. The ending of region-based leagues also harmed NA and SA in CS but combining the regions helped SA get back onto the global stage again recently.

Showdown ppl wanted champions to be an official replacement and instead tpc ignored the main format of showdown, 6v6 singles

@GutiGutiGusano @Flats_OW Are you thinking of smogon tiers? because for the longest time that was just an arbitrary restriction put on by people who wanted to battle but with those restrictions no added rules needed. That can still exist in champions if they have private battles.

@GutiGutiGusano @Flats_OW What do you mean showdown rules? They start each gen with no rules and then add ones voted on by the players. Showdown is just a battle sim. 6v6 single battles have been in here since gen 1. The only big rule is sleep clause but vgc has it too so it has to be in the game anyway

@ton4174 @Gamehero24 @Flats_OW Their problem rn is they get too ambitious and have to scale back what they want to add and then leave no time for bugfixing, optimization and graphics. Like S&V was supposed to look better based on the gigaleak last year but they had to cut it back so the game could run at all

@direYGO I mean yea no smogon formats makes sense but they didn't even try to take away from Showdown at all. No 6v6 singles battles no customizable rules for private matches like even Master Duel had more options so people would leave DB. Just 6v6 singles can allow for smogon formats idk

@kendallbaker Brewers could pay him a "big" contract if teams like the Dodgers didn't have the ability to just throw unlimited money at people driving the average contract price up. Not saying Freddy doesn't deserve a bag but that with a salary cap contracts would be smaller overall

@MGecko117 @RestTarRr The BR doubled the peak player count of Splitgate 2's open beta (10k -> 26k). But then like you said that number dwindled back down to >1k in a month because the BR wasn't innovative or tied into the core game. They made the BR to get players in but couldn't keep them interested
