YUP! IT'S...
โ๏ธPINNED TOPSTER TIME!!!โ๏ธ
I apologize for my absence just like last time all my 10s are in that outer ring with albums/sounds I fuck with in the center. Follow me if you fuck with any of these albums and/or are fond of my precious baby shithead Cryogonal
@YorubaCowboy@on_da_spectrum TIL cry baby had nothing to do with anti-imperialism and navigating a world that is rapidly crumbling. when vince said "promise me you wont gun me down" he was clearly referring to a game of counter strike i guess
@thehellmaxxerFU I remember listening to Screech Owl way back when. I had a manager that was super into death metal and when I put him onto it and he enjoyed it I knew we were gonna be the realest homies ever
@YorubaCowboy@on_da_spectrum no i was listening to the lyrics just fine and i think lyrics talking about totalitarianism and police brutality in an ever-crumbling world would fit like a glove in 2020 lol (especially in a post-Trump Administration world)
seeing your favorite artists of all time perform on the same stage your mom had been a regular on then signing a loose cd you forgot to pack in itโs sleeve is possibly the coolest thing i have had happen and might ever have happen in my life.
i wish i took more pictures.
@TimBobJoeBill@on_da_spectrum Redstar Wu & The Worldwide Scourge dropped a week before this did and is like ridiculously more well-thought out and produced and incorporates all the dif genres together and
@YorubaCowboy@on_da_spectrum save for a few specific references here and there the overall sound and message of the project isnt particularly brand new man rap songs/albums of this caliber have been releasing since the 90s
@cjspeedy72@yelllowskies@Draystah@helkoireal it's not like enough to ruin the album and songs like Cotton stand out for being really good but otherwise the actual basswork leaves a lot to be desired
@cjspeedy72@yelllowskies@Draystah@helkoireal I like rock but the bass felt kind of overused all things considered
Rock is a diverse ass genre and I think trying to make a rap rock album where 90% of the songs spam the same repetitive bass does it a massive disservice sonically
