#OnThisDay in 2014, Suresh Raina played one of the greatest T20 innings ever: 87 off 25 for CSK against Punjab.
The knock lasted barely half an hour.
The conversation around it has lasted 12 years now. Still the benchmark 🔥
Feel sad for CSk fans. Such a loyal fans known to see this team dominate year after year under the legacy of the great MS Dhoni and now missing out on play offs for 3 consecutive years. Hopefully the coaching staff will come well prepared to regain the glory next year.
Crazy effort from everyone except Rutu and Dube. Kudos. And Kudos to Sanju, have never seen him this animated, almost every ball he spoke to the spinners and was so animated on the field. He knows what this team means maybe.
Ramakrishna Ghosh ruled out of IPL. Just can’t understand how come for one team on daily basis a player gets injured that too on a serious note and unfortunately the tournament gets over for him.
SKY and most of India's WC stars are struggling, can't be easy to get back in proper mental gear after the emotional high of a World Cup win a month ago!
Even more respect for Dhoni and the batch of 2011 who returned to IPL action literally in less than a week, with Dhoni, Raina and Ashwin winning a title that year!
Our batting post 3 is not just poverty, it's generational debt. Look at all these guys batting casually at 250 s.r. Not once did they feel pressured by the required rate while chasing 220+. Meanwhile ours couldn't even hold the bat properly for 10 overs when the r.r. was just 8.
Brilliant thinking from LSG management to send pooran who is in rich form to face Narine in super over. Great thinking but unfortunately didn’t work. Well done.
Kamboj having to bowl 3 overs in the PP in a 158 defense is bad. Indha over 12+ runs ku pona aacharya padarthuku illa. The decision to bring in Sarfaraz as impact & foregoing Mukesh in the PP is coming back to bite.
Kambhoj has bowled so well unfortunately he doesn’t have the support of Mukesh Chowdhry at the other end. Jamie is a hit the deck bowler and might not be as effective as he used to be post power play. Very disappointing that management with so much of experience still have absolutely no clue on how to use a boon of a rule called impact sub. Very disappointing.
