Bonus: Your Village. Pay close attention to your loudest cheerleaders when you succeed & quiet inquirers when you fail. Your village of people are your strength when your courage gets wrecked. No battle was ever fought alone. Choose the ones who will fight with you and for you.
5) Failure is inevitable. You are going to fail. The anticipation of failure shouldn't get into the way of not trying at all. The biggest disservice you can do to yourself and to the world is not try. I now fail spectacularly instead of failing without trying.
4)We will always be in pursuit of our purpose. There isn’t 1 grandiose purpose that you will fulfill. It's the small moments of fulfillment that compounds and feeds into your purpose. Your very existence in pursuit of your purpose is the most fundamental path to feeling fulfilled
3) “Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear" The quote fails to mention how courage gets completely wrecked once you choose the thing that is more important than fear. Courage is finding strength in the wreckage
2) Leaving the safety of a job leaves you with anxiety and doubts about the future but it also comes with the ability to trust yourself and finally have autonomy over your own time. Always remember, TIME is the most scarce resource.
1) Life is not behind the desk it is beyond the desk. What will you do when there is no boss telling you what to do? Once you leave the desk you were made to sit in, you have to build a desk you do want to sit in.
