We are starting the next short communication interdisciplinary session with the exciting talk of one of the organisers Nicole Pradas talking about "The future of genomic tools for fruit breeding".
In the last talk of Plant Development and Transduction section, our colleague Azahara López from @cragenomica has explained her research about how Brassinosteroid hormones and ROS signalling crosstalk to ensure plant adaptation.
‼️We close registration, all the available slots have been filled. Abstract submission is still open until FEBRUARY 28th.
Thank you to all of you who have registered to come to @cragenomica to be part of #ACYR25. We expect to receive your abstracts in the remaining 2 days.
🎉Exciting news!🎉 We already have the dates for the 5th Annual Congress of Young Researchers (ACYR) 2025 in plant and animal science 🌱🐁, hosted by @CRAGENOMICA on 10th and 11th March.
👀Follow us to stay tuned for the opening of the abstract submissions.

❗ Join us tomorrow at 12:00h for a seminar presented by Malcom Bennett (@MalcolmBennett7) from the University of Nottingham (@UniofNottingham)
💡 Open seminar! No registration needed!
📌 CRAG Auditorium

@MalcolmBennett7@UniofNottingham@PradasNicole In his seminar titled: "Discovering how roots sense soil stresses" the researcher will share his extensive experience in studying the "hidden half of plants" investigating how roots grow, develop, and adapt to soil environments.
We'll be rooted to our seats, don't miss it! 🌱
Nicole Pradas @PradasNicole took me to pick up apples from #AppleREFPOP, an experimental field with thousands of apple trees from hundreds of different varieties!
The students from the 8th edition of the Barcelona International Youth Science Challenge (#BIYSC) are already here!
This International Science Program from @FCLP_Fundacio is a fantastic and unique opportunity to experience the world of science and research from the inside 👩🔬🙌
Apple_Pacman 🥧!! with the variety Reguard-3, sampled in 2001 #Reguard (@TurismeJussa, @aralleida) and grafted in @ETSEA_UdL @irtacat. Tasted a lot like apples this time! Some @CRAGENOMICA people loved the acid touch of the apples, but some didn't.
📢🏆ESCORE: 8.13.
If you like acid apples… not your variety!! Even not tasty enough for the super good cake cooked by @PradasNicole. Tasting panel: @CRAGENOMICA. This type of apple might not be the best for desserts!
Everyone loved it!!
Super 🥧 with ‘Granja d’Escarp-1’ https://t.co/1IVQDKSjOd 🍏.
Buds were collected in 2006 @AjGranjaEscarp and grafted in the UdL-IRTA germplasm collection @ETSEA_UdL @irtacat , where trees are preserved
🗣 “Taking part in The Collider #OnCampus provided SOLs4GENEs with an insight of the true potential of the project.”
Nicole Pradas, predoctoral fellow at @CRAGENOMICA from @irtacat, on the importance of building bridges between science and technology. ⬇ https://t.co/jaITCqPkcv
Bad ending for 4 ordinary apples and 8 eggs... I overcooked the pie😩!!
This week the Mannheimer 🥧 was made with the 🍏variety Castellbò-1 (https://t.co/DBRLtLfUez) from a tree collected in 2001 in the nice #Castellbò@Ajuntmic
