@66Betty Well , that was an insensitive way to end things. I’m really sorry… that’s entirely unfair to you. You deserve better. You’ll find better. But I’m sorry for the pain you’re in now…
@MLS_Dave I got to have Christmas with my kids yesterday because of dedicated health care workers like you. I had a heart attack a week ago. I survived because folks like you keep going, even in a pandemic. It’s unfair to HCWs to bear that burden. But my family sure appreciates you all!
A living room with a huge, comfortable couch. Empty. A matching loveseat. Empty. And me in a recliner, with three dogs on my lap playing canine Tetris just to fit.
@HNTurtledove Twisted testicle I had as a kid, or the heart attack I had last weekend. Neither were childbirth or a kidney stone, but they were no walk in the park, either.
@tljnsnEverwhere I would just explain that I can’t meet all those conditions, and let them know they are welcome if they can live with that. If they can’t, I would wish them Merry Christmas, wherever they choose to celebrate it.
@66Betty A few years ago, the lady at Taco Bell rang up my order and said “..and I gave you the senior citizen’s discount.”
I was 45.
I haven’t felt a day under 60 ever since.
@mysticalmatzah @Robertsixto2 They did the same for us several years ago when our Lab Artie crossed over. I still have the card. It means so much to have that footprint. Thankful to this day of the way they made a hard day a little easier for Artie and I. Wonderful people.
@doug_murano Agreed! Buy once, use for a lifetime. Better than replacing cheaper ones every 4-5 years. Some things are worth spending extra on, if you can.
@allareblessed My wife is well educated, strong, and ambitious. Not only does it make her a great partner I can always trust, but the income from her great career is a nice benefit. We’re stronger when we both succeed!
