MUFASA THE LION KING: VICTIMHOOD IS BIG BUSINESS
Disney had to change Mufasa's original story that he was the eldest son of the royal family, who was automatically in line to be the lion king. So they made him an orphan who was adopted by Taka (Scar) a royal, but somehow ended up becoming king
Why?
Because in today's society, victimhood is big business. We are in a generation of weaklings where literally everyone is competing to be the biggest victim. And Disney is just responding to what the market wants - victimhood
A story where Mufasa simply became King because he was a royalty would have pissed a lot of people. Because a lot of people are losers, they're jealous of anyone who grows up "priviledged" they think that person doesn't deserve it
Just look at how kids of influential and wealthy people are scrutinized simply for coming from a well up background. They hate that these children have advantages they never had. Words like nepotism or spoiled are thrown around. It's like people forget that the reason why every parent works hard is to make life easier for their offspring
If you should be bitter, be bitter at your own parents for not doing enough to give you the same "privilege"
Anyways it's just a movie
Learn OR perish!!!
